I chose Centre for Sight for a number of reasons, not least being Dr. Choong's sterling track record, his impeccable and reassuring bedside manner as well as the technology available at Centre for Sight. He was frank and stated everything in clear terms without the usual sales spiel or hardsell one would expect from a larger outfit and I was made fully aware of the risks and benefits with all concerns I had fully addressed in detail. As a former medical writer, you tend to pick up a number of horror stories and potential mishaps in the industry so I must admit being somewhat worried at conducting such a life changing procedure. My fears were unfounded and the entire process went like clockwork. One year later after my LASIK procedure and I continue enjoying fantastic vision. My statement is unsolicited and I have no financial interest with any medical organisation. This is merely a statement from a very satisfied patient.

How are you feeling now? Can see well? Pain or not? How much is that? Are you crazy? So expensive? You must be very rich! Look prettier without specs? Happy, happy and happy! I'm alright! My eyesight is getting better and better now! Eh? Why take so long to see well while others recovered right after the surgery? Well...long story! :) guys, trust me it was real fast and simple – less than 10mins? And no pain at all weh! If I knew it earlier, I would have done it long ago..!

Which eye centre would I recommend? Before I’ve made up my mind, I went to few centre or hospital to do survey and had some discussions with my friends and family. Finally I went to this eye centre namely Centre for Sight which located in Taman Sea. This doctor is highly recommended by an optician (bro-in-law’s friend). It cost me RM 6,000 inclusive of treatment and check-up. (0% interest installment for 12months) having said that the consultant and nurses there are nice and friendly but the doctor is always chill and experienced! Oh ya, haven’t explain why is it so expensive as compared to those RM 5,000 surgery. I used the newest and most advanced technology machine (Visx Star 4).you guys can google and find out more about this technology. I always wanted the best for my eye.
Friends, truly from the bottom of my heart, if you hate wearing specs and feel tired of wearing contact lens, stop doubting anymore and just go for it!!

Thank you Centre for Sight, the health care centre where I have my vision perfected! After considering for 4 years I was finally convinced by Dr. Choong Yean Yaw and a team of professional healthcare providers to undergo Lasik. I can still remember the 20 minutes Lasik procedure which granted me freedom form contact lens and spectacles. It was fast, painless, safe and of course a bit of nervous from me.
